After School Art Classes
Did you know creativity plays a crucial role in shaping young minds? Art enhances kid’s abilities to solve problems, express feelings, and learn to trust themselves. Sometimes, art even helps convey what words cannot. Creating art is an inward journey, full of discoveries and self-connection!
Our after school art classes run from Sept to June. We offer 8 week courses on specific subjects, as well as rolling admission in the mixed media classes. In the rolling admission classes, your child can join whenever it fits their schedule - with a mix of exciting new projects every week!
In our art classes, we explore technique development, study of color, and lots of creative exploration in a supportive, gentle environment. We provide structure, but also keep in mind that spontaneous exploration is where creativity thrives! We inspire students to be inquisitive, and experiment with what "think outside the box" means. Our hope is that they learn to trust themselves - to be their own authority. This builds self-esteem & confidence!

Serenity Studio (Wed)
Incorporating simple stretches and breathing exercises before creating art to make it a more mindful experience. Each class will consist of 15 minutes of stretching & breath work for soothing our nervous system to a calm state (like Yoga Nidra before bed). Followed by one hour of an art activity such as mandala drawing, painting, sculpting, or other mediums. Practicing mindfulness will help students be more present in their daily life! Parents are welcome to enroll in this soothing, creative class as well. We request that each person please bring their own yoga mat or towel.

Minnie Muses! (Mon or Tue)
Like the joy of opening a fresh box of crayons - let inspiration strike with Minnie Muses! Your child's unique creativity will be expressed through sculpture, painting, and many more mediums. This class is wonderful for those wanting to learn through experimentation. Small class size ensures proper attention & guidance. Textures, color theory, composition, & moods will be explored.

Art to the Rescue! (Mon or Tue)
Even in today's stimulus soaked world, are your kids feeling bored or restless? Looking for a rewarding, inspirational & fun outlet? Here comes Art to the Rescue! Each week we will explore a new medium - watercolors, pastels, sculpture, painting & mixed media. This class is wonderful for those wanting to learn through hands on experimentation. Small class size ensures proper attention & guidance. Perspective, color theory, composition, story telling & moods will be explored.

Crochet Corner - Mon or Thur
Starts Jan 5th 2026
Choose between a Mon or Thu class. Open to adults and children age 10 & up. You will learn the basic crochet stitches, how to read patterns, and make a variety of projects. We will review the basic foundations: the slip knot, chain stitch, and single crochet stitch—the building blocks for all other crochet projects. We will cover how to hold your hook & yarn, check your tension, and read a simple pattern. Crochet takes practice to get the hang of, so this class is best suited for kids (or adults) who are patient and okay with making mistakes. At the end of the session, you will have a completed project, and the skills to tackle your next project, like a scarf or hat. If you would like to take the class, as a parent plus child (or children) you will get 10% off the parent’s price!

Anime Drawing & Design Class (Tues)
Join our weekly Anime Art Class designed for creative kids ages 10–17 who love anime and manga. Each 1.5-hour session focuses on a different popular anime series and teaches students how to draw characters, expressions, poses, and backgrounds inspired by that style. Students will build skills in character design and storytelling while exploring a variety of anime aesthetics. All levels are welcome — just bring your love of anime and your creativity!

Drawing Delights (Wed)
This class will focus on the fundamentals of drawing. Beginning with shapes and basic shading techniques using (colored) pencil, pastels, or charcoal. Students will also learn grayscale values. We will introduce cross-hatch, pointillism, and other techniques.. The class will have a variety of subjects to draw, including portraits, animals, landscapes, and characters (Disney or Anime). Since it’s right after school, you're welcome to bring a snack!

Advanced Studio Art (Wed)
This advanced course is designed for teens already working at a pre-AP Art or AP art level and looking to continue to develop their work. Students will focus on developing prior art skills, while receiving in-depth technical instruction and individualized feedback. Class sessions include guided studio time, peer critiques, and discussions that push students to refine their ideas and artistic voice. Supplies are available but if students have any preferred personal supplies they are encouraged to bring them in.

The Power of Art! (Thur)
Children will be encouraged to express their feelings through The Power of Art! Drawing, sculpting, painting, collages, paper mache, and mixed media art will be offered to be explored by students. We pay attention, listening for each child's individual needs and adapt the project to their match their personality, when requested. We aim to provide a nonjudgmental space where kids feel comfortable speaking authentically about their art work. These small classes are suitable for all tweens & teens. Artistic expression helps to process emotions, calms the mind, and builds confidence. Through The Power of Art, all children feel an overall sense of well being!
(Those with Anxiety, ADHD, High Functioning Autism, or Shyness might especially benefit.)

Watercolor Class (Thur)
Join us for an eight week watercolor class designed specifically for teens ages 13 to 17. Students will learn foundational techniques such as color mixing, brush control, and creating textures while exploring their own creative style. Each week builds on the last, allowing students to grow their skills and complete finished pieces they can be proud of. All supplies are provided and no previous experience is required.
